This won't win a prize for originality, but I loved the first one, so, even after reading those terrible reviews, I still managed to have a good time as I was watching 'The Hangover Part II'.
This 'Fear and Loathing in Puerto Rico' is flat, way too long, and doesn't work on any level.
Movies set in the age of the Roman empire are my cup of tea. Although it has some flaws ( the middle of the movie drags on), I found it to be an action-packed, visceral 'men on a mission' feature. And the first 15 minutes or so, when the Brits attack the Roman fortress, are simply breathtaking.
Huh? What happened here? Someone took the semi-classic John Milius movie and made a travesty out of it. The worst is the frantic editing. And they made Rose McGowan look hideous. Why?
If Ah-nold sees this, you better run, Marcus Nispel!
If you think this might be the revival of gory Italo-zombie films, Fulci-style, abandon all hope. This is a rancid mess.
