This is a pretty good story. The movie was well filmed in many locations. Ms Lawrence is in almost every scene. She has proven to be a very skilled and accomplished actress. She was very believable in the action scenes. She said in an interview that the nude scenes were difficult. By European standards, the nudity was very brief and very minimal. Adult films, with adult themes, often involve some state of undress. It seems like some nudity is often going to be part of many stories. The weak link here, was her co-star, Joel Edgerton. The man can act a little. I could not buy him as a dedicated undercover operative. His character did not seem to have the sharp edge that one would expect from such a man. Overall, the movie did not have the high level of suspense and crackle that a spy thriller should have.

7 Days in Entebbe

Very weak story that is poorly filmed and told. The film is built around 2 German terrorists. We learn almost nothing about their motives. Their Arab co-conspirators are equally undeveloped. The Arab group leader seems perfectly willing to kill innocent hostages. We learn almost nothing about his personal motives. There are almost no characters developed out of the 200+ hostages. Idi Amin is said to be crazy and murderous; but we see almost no development of his character. The rescuers and the final successful raid is almost anti-climatic. We have little personal info about them and so, little reason to care that much about them individually. The film was not very well thought out.

Ms Vikander shows that she can act. She was very good in the dialogue driven scenes: and even better in the action sequences. The problem here is a weak story line. It did not make much sense. Also, the PC police seemed to be at work. Our very attractive heroine is captured by a murderous bad guy. The beautiful Ms Vikander is the only woman in sight. She is put to heavy manual work along with the male captives. There is no hint of potential sexual assault or even casual leering. She remains fully clothed in a steamy tropical location. This is not plausible. It was an OK trip to the flics.

Trainwreck (2015)

This is a pretty good comedy. I was not disappointed. The story was good. The chemistry between Amy Schumer and her romantic interest; played by Bill Hader, is good. Hader seems to be a very capable actor. Up to now he has mostly played principally comedic roles. He is in a comedy here; but his role is more of a straight man to Amy Schumer's comedic role.

The film is rated R. Schumer is known for her mainly bawdy comedy. She talks a lot about sexual matters, from a female point-of-view. I like her. She is funny. The are a few sex scenes. I was a little surprised to find that Schumer did not choose to show any nudity involving herself. Although, some of the men are seen mostly naked, from behind.

Some scenes worked better than others, but the movie as a whole, worked for me. There was one odd, scene toward the end, featuring a handful of celebrity cameos. It did not work very well. Chris Evert (former prof tennis star) was present. I did not recognize her at first. She is not aging very well.

It was an OK trip to the flics.
