Grim is not the word.

Bowie turns up and delivers a great soundtrack.

Frank
Frank(2014)

Best film of 2014 so far

Wild At Heart

Dafoe as Bobby Peru cracks me up.

Quantum of Solace

Did the producers not learn that after the great success of Casino Royale not to go right back to lumpen scripts and much too much action.

Very disappointing.

Casino Royale
½

I was worried about Daniel Craig as the only thing i saw him in previous was the dire Layer Cake, but i should not have worried as this & him as Bond is the best in the series.
The only problem with it as usual is David Arnold who seems incapable as ever of knowing how to score a Bond.
Shame that the follow up was a shambles.

Eva Green is great

GoldenEye
GoldenEye(1995)

The first & best Bond film with Pierce Brosnan as 007

The Living Daylights

Decent first Bond for Dalton.

John Barry's last Bond score :(

Octopussy
Octopussy(1983)
½

I've got a soft spot for Octopussy as it was the first Bond i saw in the cinema as a kid. I believe this entry in the Bond series has been judged rather harshly.

Great underrated John Barry score on this one also

Moonraker
Moonraker(1979)
½

The funniest Bond of them all but in a good way. Emily Bolton is beautiful

The Spy Who Loved Me

The best Moore Bond by miles. The women in this has never been bettered in the series as Barbara Bach & Caroline Munro (mention to Valerie Leon also though she's only in it briefly) tear it up.
The only thing missing is a great John Barry score (he was out of the country because of tax reasons i believe) but the theme tune is still a classic.

Nobody does it better

Enter the Void (Soudain le vide)

The best film to watch wrecked i have seen in a long time. Put it on & you can dip in & out of it as you please. 8.5/10

Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream
It is not dying
It is not dying

Lay down all thought and surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining

That you may see the meaning of within
It Is being
It is being

That love is all and love is everyone
It is knowing
It is knowing

That ignorance and hate may mourn the dead
It is believing
It is believing

But listen to the color of your dreams
It is not living
It is not living

Or play the game existence to the end
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning

Great soundtrack by Lalo Schifrin

Je t'aime moi non plus (I Love You, I Don't)

Another helping of perversion from the Gainsbourg

Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Probably Stanley Kubrick's greatest statement & still the most relevant. War is stupid but so are "our leaders" and they just might push the button BOOM.

Could it be any better than it already is probably not

The Day After

Like watching Disney after watching Threads
