I am not a horror aficionado so it has to push my buttons and have a limited to nil gore content. People compare it to the Blair blah blah but it is more documentary ala District 9. I decided to write off any relevance to it based on a real story, and just got creeped out on how it stood on its own. Good horror. ALL acting. You 'can' find some references to things that did occur, because the internet will give you what you want no matter how false it is.
If your dreams have any roots in alien abduction, think twice about putting it in your queue.
My favorite stuff: music and culture and travel. Outstanding study of a great musician seeking other musicians, except he couldn't use craigslist to find these dudes. Bela loves the people he meets, and his humbling demeanor ingratiates and enriches those people as they do for him. One of those 'if you do not like it, what planet are you living on' movies.
Had not seen this for maybe twenty years. It was better. A wonderful supporting cast. And to make you root for a real screw off is great movie making. Love the two or so references to Oregon.
