Alone in the Dead of Night

A very claustrophobic slow burn horror film that really gets into your head. I don't want to spoil the ending, but it's terrifying and a fitting end to the film.

Purdah (2018)
3 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Purdah is an intensely compelling sports documentary about Kaikasha Mirza, a Muslim woman who wants to play professional cricket. Kaikasha is such an easy protagonist to root for as you follow her on her surprising and emotional journey. Director Jeremy Guy gives an eye-opening look into Indian culture and the sport of cricket. A definite must watch for anyone regardless if they're interested in sports or not.

Elephants (2018)

I loved this very realistic, touching portrayal of a complex relationship. It's hard to find movies that explore all aspects, the good, the bad, so I give it a hearty recommendation for single people, couples, old married folks, everyone!

Stadium Anthems

What a fantastic and timely film! Stadium Anthems has a wicked sense of humor, some witty, clever dialogue and great music. Was surprised by how much I loved this insightful look at the music industry.
