Movie Ratings and Reviews

Black Panther

By far the best movie of the MCU.

Ex Machina
Ex Machina(2015)

A very thoughtful and meaningful movie.

The Imitation Game

Like pretty much all real life based movie, this is a must see.

I Kill Giants

I was expecting another simple but fun action movie.... Trust me that I have never been more happy to be wrong!

Suicide Squad

A good soundtrack and a good cast can only do so much when the rest is an abomination...

The Shining
The Shining(1980)

Even though it is WAY overrated and it differs from the book, it is still one of the best horror movies...

Neill Blomkamp is a good director, and this, is a good example of that.

The Meg
The Meg(2018)

While it certainly has an interesting premise, the rest of the movie just manages to be a bad ripoff of the first Jaws movie.

While it certainly has an interesting premise, the rest of the movie just manages to be a bad ripoff of the first Jaws movie.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

One of the best M:I movies, this is an action movie that EVERYONE should watch, no doubt.

Sausage Party

Even though it might offend a lot of people, Sausage party still is a funny adult comedy.

Licence To Kill

A certainly underrated james bond movie, even though it is true that it doesn't compare to others in the franchise.

Logan Lucky
Logan Lucky(2017)

As the first Steven Soderbergh movie that I have ever watched, I had a good time, but the film, unfortunately, failed to surprise me.

A kind of satisfying adaptation of the Akira manga, this movie does derserve the cult status it gets.

Friday the 13th

Even though it started a franchise, it mat not deserve the cult status it gets... But it is still worth a watch.

Swiss Army Man

Weird but funny, Swiss army man manages to do what most of today's film fail to do, and that is to give us an original and entertaining story.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

It does the bare minimum to be entertaining, but that is all I ever asked.

Baby Driver
Baby Driver(2017)

A very talentend cast led by a very talented director, not so surprisingly, lead to a fun, intense blockbuster action movie.

As someone who doesn't have that much interest in horror movies, I will say that this one sure does elevate above the rest.

A well thought out sci-fi horror movie that was the first actual horror movie I liked enough to seek viewing its sequels.

Captain Phillips

Just like most real life inspired movies,Captain Phillips has an interesting story to tell.

Lady Bird
Lady Bird(2017)

Pretty good coming of age story, featuring one hell of a performance from Saoirse Ronan.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

It's not perfect, but it sure is a fun, well done Marvel movie. Oh, and its got the best post-credit scene ever!

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

A rich world filled with rich adventures, Miss Peregrine's is a fantastic Tim Burton film!

Sin City
Sin City(2005)

While it does have its moments, in the end, Sin city is just violent. Fun, but violent, nothing else.

A Silent Voice (Koe no katachi)

A beautiful moving story about a bully who is trying to make up for his past mistakes.

While it certainly does have its moments, there are too many scenes where I found myself wanting the movie to end.

Incredibles 2

Just like the first one, and the majority of Pixar movies, The incredibles is incredible.

Naruto Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom

While it does have some good fight scenes, this Naruto movie has way too little character and plot development to be worth watching, even for Naruto fans.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Most of the movie, particularly the ending, will leave most of the audience wanting more.

The Disaster Artist

The disaster artist is what most of us would have expected from a movie based off the worst movie ever made, funny and sad at the same time.

Nausicań of the Valley of the Wind (Kaze no tani no Naushika)

It may not be Hayao Miyazaki's best work, but it sure does a lot more than most of animated movies,

Even if it is far from being as goos as Toy Story, or other Pixar's work, Coco manages to tell a really emotional story about family and death.

The Iron Giant

A touching and complex animated movie, the Iron giant is good enough for you to seek it on blu-ray/DVD.

The Mummy
The Mummy(1999)

A funny action packed adventure movie.

The Wizard of Oz

One of the best movie of early cinema.

My Neighbor Totoro

If a bit long at first, My neighbor Totoro's charming character moments more than makes up for its early flaws.

Deadpool 2
Deadpool 2(2018)

Deadpool 2 sets a new standard for superhero sequels: it surpasses the original in every way.

X2: X-Men United

Better than the original, it manages to be both action packed and to explain Wolverine's backstory while being entertaining.

Pretty good, but still lacks the punch that many superhero movies have.

Cars 3
Cars 3(2017)

The best of the car franchise, no doubt.

A well done, yet not entirely satisfying james bond movie.

Dazed and Confused

Even though there isn't much happening here, especially in the first half, Dazed and confused's memorable characters is a thing that I am sure I won't forget. Oh, and the soundtrack is amazing.

The Hitman's Bodyguard

The more I think about it, the worse The hitman's bodyguard becomes. So that's why when watching it for the second time, I didn't think about it too much. I just enjoyed it.

Castle in the Sky

Castle in the sky tells an incredibly heart felt tale that you are sure to remember for the rest of your life.

Batman Returns

Even if you'll probably like watching the Dark knight trilogy more, this one is still worth a watch for Batman fans.

The Hateful Eight

Even if it's not Tarantino's best movie, or even his best western movie, The hateful eight is still fun enough to be worth at least one watch.

Avengers: Infinity War

All of Marvel's superheroes, in one movie who packs one hell of a punch.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max, Fury Road brings everything that we liked with the Mad Max franchise and puts it in a long, epic action movie.

The Terminator

While it is clear that The terminator doesn't reach the height of its sequel, it still is a good load of action packed fun.

Ready Player One

A fun, intense rollercoaster that adds another impressive entry in Spielberg's filmography.

For Your Eyes Only

By no means the best 007 movie, for your eyes only still has enough going for it, most notably Roger Moore's take on the character, to make it one of the few of the franchise's must watch.

Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (Gekij˘-ban Naruto: Daigekitotsu! Maboroshi no chitei iseki dattebayo!)

While i still think that it is the worst Naruto movie by far, it still isn't a movie that I would call bad... It's simply okay.

Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (Gekij˘-ban Naruto: Daikatsugeki!)

Even if it doesn't live up to the Manga or even the original Anime's quality, this Naruto movie is still a blast to watch.

While it certainly doesn't deserve all the praise it gets, Moolight is still good enough to be worth watching at least once.

Your Name. (Kimi No Na Wa.)

One of the best, if not the best anime movie ever made, Your name has everything your could ever ask for in a movie: beautiful visuals, amazing characters and a story that is going to be remembered for ages to come.

Okami kodomo no ame to yuki (The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki)

While still not being as good as The boy and the beast, Wolf Children has enough of what made most of Hosada's movies good to make it a blast to watch.

Summer Wars (Sama Wozu)

Another impressive movie from director Mamoru Hosada, Summer Wars is a must see for anime fan, and movie fans in general.

Yes, you will laugh a few times. Yes, you will probably enjoy it while watching it. But when the movie ends, you will be left with a feeling that you won't remember this movie.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

While it's not the best that director Hosada has done, it still manages to hold on its own with charming characters and an incredibly inventive plot.

The Theory of Everything

The theory of everything that a real life inspired movie should do: tell us an emotionally gripping story with memorable characters.

Wind River
Wind River(2017)

While not being particularly unpredictable, Wind River sure does captivate our attention for its entire runtime.

While it isn't as good as some of the best Batman movies, this incarnation of the dark knight is certainly worth watching.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

While it still doesn't compare to the very first pirates of the caribbean movies, it still does a hell of a better job to entertain you than On stranger tides.

The Mummy
The Mummy(2017)

While it is certainly not as bad as everyone says it is, you are still better off watching other monster movies.

Catch Me If You Can

A really well made cat and mouse movie.

Ghostbusters 2

While not as original as its predecessor, Ghostbusters 2 is still a fine piece of entertainment.

Quantum of Solace

Even if this 007 movie doesn't have anything special going for it, it still has some good moments and a good enough story to make it worth the watch.

Beauty and the Beast

If it's far from being as good as the original, it still deserves your attention, but don't expect something revolutionary.

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

There is something here missing, but I just can't put my finger on it... By no means a bad movie, it could've been better.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

There is no denying that Disney had disappointed us with The force Awakens, but Star Wars: The Last Jedi is like a breath of fresh air, or dare I say, a new hope for the franchise.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

If a bit weird at the beginning, the humor is still good enough to be something worth your time.

Django Unchained

This Tarantino movie is so good that it reminds me of the golden age of western movies.

The Spy Who Loved Me

While still being silly at times, The spy who loved me is a classic 007 movie, even with all its flaws.

Kill Bill: Volume 2

Even better than its predecessor, Kill Bill vol. 2 is a movie that you don't want to miss.

While still being entertaining, Dunkirk is far from being as good as the best war movies, but it still manages to hold on its own.

Thor: Ragnarok

While not as good or as spectacular as other entries in the MCU, it is still the best of all three Thor movies.

Inglourious Basterds

A violent, epic, yet deeply satisfying Tarantino movie. His second best after Pulp Fiction.

Patema Inverted

Despite its clunky plot, Patema inverted offers a wonderfull world full of wonderfull characters. It may not go down as one of the best anime movies, but its still fun to watch.

The Boy And The Beast (Bakemono No Ko)

Combining striking visuals, a gripping and emotional plot and some of the most memorable characters of animation movies, this japanese film is nothing short of a masterpiece.

The Book of Life

While a bit predictable, The book of life's gorgeous animation and lovable characters does more than just make up for its simplistic plot.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)

While it probably does not deserve the cult following it gets, The Matrix is still a fun movie.

Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction(1994)

If a bit confusing at first, Pulp Fiction is a must watch for Tarantino fans, and movie fans in general.

This is, without a doubt, the best superhero movie in recent years, beating the past two wolverine movies and the entire X-Men franchise all at once. Only a handfull of comic book movies can even compare to Logan.

If the beginning and the ending were simply okay, the middle is just good enough to make it another Disney's success.

If there is one movie that I would call underrated, it's this one.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

Funny but not that original, Ace Ventura: Pet detective still manages to entertain us.

Like many recent Adam Sandler movies, this is far from being a must-watch movie.

Easy A
Easy A(2010)

Funny and Emotionnal at the same time, this is a teen comedy that is worth watching.

A bit silly, but fun to watch.

A pretty good movie with a good message for kids.

Inside Out
Inside Out(2015)

A near emotional masterpiece.

A pretty good space movie, even though it's not spectacular, it won't fail to entertain you.

The Godfather

A masterpiece in almost every way.

Star Trek Beyond

The Star Trek franchise, even after all these years, continues to entertain us, especially with the last 3 movies.

Kong: Skull Island

While the movie has a good action side, it lacks on the character side. King Kong fans will appreciate the movie, but if you are simply here to watch a new movie, skip this one.

Live and Let Die

If a little bit confusing at first, the ending more than makes up for the rest of the movie, making it an enjoyable 007 movie.

Kill Bill: Volume 1

A strange but suprisingly decent movie.

The Parent Trap

An emotional family ride, with the addition of an amazing soundtrack, makes it one of the many good kids movie.

Bon Cop, Bad Cop

A good cast mixed with a good plot means that it's an enjoyable movie.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

A good Spider-man movie, although not as great as Spider-Man 2. Comic book movie fans will like it, but for the others, it'll look like just another superhero movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Good MCU movie, although it suffers a bit from the overuse of some jokes. Still a fun movie though.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The second best Star Wars movie.
